自启动以来以该中心各机组为平台展开的国家自然科学基金、973项目及天津市重点基金等纵向项目有20余项。以中心仪器为支撑发表的SCI、EI论文累计50余篇。依托天津大学化工学院化学、化工的传统优势,同时以多学科交为背景,在“蛋白组学分析”,“高通量代谢物组学”,“晶型分析”,“蛋白、核酸构象分析”和“药物、材料分子设计”等前沿领域均形成了较为成熟的分析手段,为这些学科的发展提供良好的科研平台。
